Sunday Brunch

After trying to behave all week there’s nothing more satisfying than indulging yourself in a scrumptiuous Sunday brunch. And if you’re feeling super naughty some homemade Hollandaise sauce really hits the spot. We’ve tried a few recipes in the past and have now adapted to make the perfect weekend treat. It can be a bit fiddly but we think that Sundays were made for getting creative in the kitchen, so why not give it a go!

What you need;

2 large egg yolks
1 dessertspoon of fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons of white wine vinegar
110 grams/4oz of butter
Salt & Pepper

Begin by separating the egg yolks into a bowl and mixing for about a minute. Season with salt and pepper. Bring the vinegar and lemon juice to a simmer on the stove. Once bubbling pour very slowly into the egg yolks whilst mixing. In the same pan heat the butter but down burn or let it brown. Once melted slowly add the butter to the yolk mixture mixing continuously. You should have a thick creamy sauce.

Serve: We had ours with a hash brown, bacon and soft egg stack, mushrooms fried in soy sauce and fried tomatoes.

Go on, try it this Sunday and let us know what you think!
